Изначально компания выпуска свои диски в только формате HD-DVD,  теперь же мейджор перешел к использованию  как HD-DVD, так и Blu-ray. И хотя компания заявляет, что поддерживает оба формата, с уверенность можно сказать, что все же предпочтение получает формат HD-DVD, потому что именно в этом формате выходят большое количество дисков богатых на дополнительные материалы, например,«Матрица».  Однако со временем многое меняется...<br /><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1199567672_iamlegend_22.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Warner обижает HD DVD. Blu-ray в фаворитах?' /></div><br />Теперь, же после смены приоритетов в сторону Blu-ray, релизы на HD-DVD будет выходить на 3 недели позже Blu-ray издания. В HD-DVD дисках дополнительных материалов будет меньше, чем на Blu-ray дисках, как в грядущем релизе фильма «<img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/2008/01/06/ja_legenda__i_am_legend.html" style="border: none;" alt='Warner обижает HD DVD. Blu-ray в фаворитах?' />» (I Am Legend) с Уиллом Смитом. Blu-ray версия фильма будет содержать документальный фильм о создании картины Creating I Am Legend, также дополнительные материалы Cautionary Tale: The Science of I Am Legend. Хотя подробности релиза до его выхода не известны, тем не менее, вряд ли Warner откажется от формата HD-DVD столь же резко, как и Paramount.
