По интернету расползлись слухи о новой модели PLAYSTATION 3 с жёстким диском на 120Гб, а по некоторым данным, на все 160Гб. Согласно этой версии, новые SKU должны заменить снятые с производства 80Гб-модели PS3, которые, впрочем, никто кроме японцев, корейцев и американцев и не видел. Также вспоминались прошлогодние слова президента SCEE о том, что увеличивать HDD всего лишь на 20Гб бессмысленно.

120Гб PLAYSTATION 3Что характерно, в последнее время Sony весьма оперативно реагирует на разного рода слухи. Вот и на этот раз, представитель британского подразделения корпорации опроверг информацию о новом SKU довольно быстро.

Таким образом, на рынке остаётся только 40Гб-версия PLAYSTATION 3, выпущенная в конце октября 2007 года. Разумеется, жёсткий диск консоли будет увеличен со временем, возможно, даже будет возвращена обратная совместимость с PS2. В любом случае, маловероятно, что это произойдет раньше, чем через полгода после релиза очередного SKU.
