Более 6000 пользователей HD DVD подписали Интернет- петицию,  настаивающую на том, чтобы компания Warner Home Entertainment пересмотрела свое решение отказаться от использования формата HD DVD.  Впервые петиция появилась в Интернете 5 января этого года, после <a href="http://www.hdtv.ru/2008/01/05/kinostudija_warner_bros._otkazyvaetsja_ot_formata_hd_dvd_v_polzu_bluray.html" >заявления</a> компании Warner о том, что «покупатели сделали вполне определенный выбор в пользу Blu-ray», не смотря на менее высокие цены на железо HD DVD,  лучшие технические возможности формата, а так же впринципе большее "дружелюбие к пользователю".<br /><br />Те, кто, подписали петицию надеются  на то, что Warner изменит свое решение и это решение поможет убедить студии Universal и Paramount в том, что у формата HD DVD по-прежнему есть свои поклонники. <br />Самая последняя информация(от 21.01): Несколько пользователей Интернета написали, что  не только сторонники HD DVD написали петицию после заявления компании Warner. Еще раньше в Интернете появились петиции, призывающие компании Paramount, Universal и Toshiba отказаться от использования формата HD DVD в пользу Blu-ray, тем самым завершив войну форматов.<br />В настоящее время петиция под названием «Пусть HD DVD умрет» в поддержку формата Blu-ray собрала более тысячи подписей. <br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1201090795_hddvd.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Петиция в поддержку HD DVD' /></div><br />Как мы можем увидеть, борьба продолжается – теперь так же между сторонниками форматов.<br />Для тех, кто хочет поддержать HD DVD - петиция <a href="http://www.petitiononline.com/SAVEHDD/" target="_blank">здесь</a>, а тех, же кто против стандарта и поддерживает возможную смерть формата, пройдите <a href="http://www.petitiononline.com/HDVDeath/petition.html" target="_blank">сюда</a>
