В то время как компания Managed Copy не сдержала своих обещаний относительно форматов Bly-ray и HD DVD, оставив нас в состоянии недоумения, некоторую ясность внесли компании Apple, iTunes и Fox. На прошедшей на прошлой неделе выставке Macworld Стивен Джобс (Steven Jobs) представил DVD диск «Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest», содержащий файл, которую можно копировать на компьютер.

Однако использовать этот файл можно лишь используя специальный код, находящийся в коробке. Помимо этого Вам обязательно понадобится рабочий аккаунт iTunes - ведь DRM (цифровая система защиты авторских прав) никто не отменял. Однако не ясно, каким образом осуществляется эта защита, т.е. устанавливается ли она во время загрузки фильма на компьютер, либо уже встроена в фильм. В конечном итоге, все эти детали не изменят факт того, что iTunes Digital Copy является единственным вариантом для тех, кто хочет законным путем приобретать медиа информацию. Но не стоит заблуждаться, что эта система сохраняет за Вами вечные права на эту копию. Сумасшествие? Мы тоже так думаем.
