Вместе с тем, Ихара признал, что пока еще довольно рано говорить о том, что OLED полностью заменит LCD. По этой причине Sony продолжает фокусироваться на секотре LCD TV, в частности, марке телевизоров Bravia.<br /><br />Sony отмечает высокий потенциал технологии OLED, главным образом, из-за энергосберегающих характеристик телевизоров, тонкого профиля и высокого разрешения. Однако если компания намерена вывести OLED в сектор мейнстрима, ей предстоит всерьез задуматься о том, как снизить производственные затраты, которые все еще очень высоки.
