На официальном сайте компании Gigabyte появилась предварительная информация о новой barebone-системе под названием MEC, призванной стать основой для создания достаточно мощного медиа-компьютера для домашнего кинотеатра.<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1196408808_67015.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Barebone-система Gigabyte MEC для постройки медиа-ПК' /></div><br /><br />Решение отличается строгим и одновременно очень стильным дизайном своего корпуса, габариты которого составляют 65 x 340 x 356 мм. При этом новинка базируется на материнской плате GA-ME600-RH с чипсетом ATI RS600ME+SB600, оснащена интегрированной графикой ATI Radeon Xpress 1300, поддерживает 800-МГц системную шину и имеет совместимость с процессорами Intel Core 2 Duo и Intel Celeron M (Socket M). Кроме того, в арсенале присутствуют два DIMM-слота для возможности установки до 4 Гб двухканальной оперативной памяти DDR2 с частотой 533/667 МГц, аудиокодек Realtek ALC262 с поддержкой HD Audio, сетевая карта Gigabit Ethernet, модуль Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, встроенный кардридер 4-в-1, оптический DVD-привод с щелевой загрузкой дисков (опционально предлагается привод Blu-ray) и блок питания мощностью 110 Вт. Также предусмотрены один слот PCI, один порт SATA 2, шесть портов USB 2.0 (два фронтальных и четыре тыловых), один порт IEEE 1394 (на передней панели), два порта PS/2 и интерфейсы HDMI, DVI-D, VGA и SPDIF.<br /><br />Известно, что Gigabyte MEC будет комплектоваться беспроводной клавиатурой и пультом дистанционного управления, а вот ориентировочная стоимость и вероятные сроки появления изделия в продаже разработчиками пока, к сожалению, не уточняются.
