Всегда интересно, какие планы производитель строит в отношении своих продуктов, особенно если дело касается столь интересных и перспективных устройств, как панели на основе органических светодиодов. Напомним, что среднеформатные OLED-дисплеи впервые появятся на рынке только в начале декабря, а потенциальными новинками являются 11-дюймовые OLED-телевизоры XEL-1 именно от Sony. Позицию компании в отношении «органических» дисплеев, а также ЖК-телевизоров объявил исполнительный президент подразделения Sony по выпуску и продажам телевизионных систем, Такаши Фукуда (Takashi Fukuda).
Sony откроет рынок телевизионных OLED-панелей

Господин Фукуда заметил, что в будущем компания Sony сделает акцент на увеличение размеров ЖК-панелей и качества изображения. Что же касается OLED-панелей, то в данном случае направление развития будет выбираться исходя из конкретного назначения устройств. При этом производитель рассматривает устройства на основе органических светодиодов в качестве наиболее возможного кандидата на звание дисплеев нового поколения. Естественно, что особый акцент Sony сделает именно на достоинства OLED-панелей, таких как тонкость, и неожиданно высокое, как заявил Такаши Фукуда, качество изображения.

Пионером на рынке станет 11-дюймовый телевизор, но уже в ближайшем будущем Sony планирует проводить разработку более широкоформатных решений. Стоит отметить, что руководство компании понимает всю сложность задачи, информируя о необходимости внедрения различных усовершенствований как в конструкцию самих панелей, так и технологии изготовления данного типа продукции.

Тем не менее, Sony с оптимизмом смотрят в будущее, рассчитывая сначала открыть новый сегмент рынка телевизионных устройств, а затем постепенно увеличивая его значимость для индустрии, одновременно с объемами продаж OLED-продукции.
