Компания LG.Philips LCD объявила о выпуске новой 20,8-дюймовой ЖК-панели, предназначенной для медицинского диагностического оборудования. Новинка представляет из себя качественный цветной дисплей с довольно высоким рабочим разрешением 2048x1536 точек (QXGA). Разработчики заявляют, что достигнутое 3,15-Мп разрешение является рекордным для панелей таких размеров. Приводится сравнение с большими плоскопанельными телевизорами класса Full HD 1080p (2,07 Мп), разрешающая способность которых примерно вполовину меньше.

Новый ЖК-дисплей от LG.Philips LCD основан на матрице типа IPS (In-Plane Switching), которая отличается великолепной цветопередачей и широкими углами обзора. Безусловно, всё это наряду с высоким разрешением и яркостью порядка 600 кандел должно улучшить качество и условия работы медицинского персонала.

Производитель демонстрирует свой новый продукт на выставке FPD International 2007, которая проходит в японском городе Йокохама (Yokohama). Там же представители LG.Philips LCD заявили о том, что специалистами компании ведётся разработка нового поколения профессиональных дисплеев с разрешающей способностью до 5 Мп.

Что касается начала поставок анонсированных ЖК-панелей, по планам LG.Philips LCD, в первой половине 2008 года производители медицинского оборудования получат дебютные партии новой продукции.
