Абоненты получили возможность смотреть канал VOOM HD. VOOM HD Networks являются ведущим производителем телепрограмм, снятых в формате HD. Лучшие программы этой компании представлены на круглосуточном канале в разнообразных тематических рубриках, посвященных культуре, музыке, спорту, путешествиям, природе, моде и стилю, кулинарии, а также видеоиграм. Сейчас VOOM HD распространяется в США как часть сети Echostar’s DISH Network, а с ноября 2006 г. канал будет доступен на территории Европы.<br /><br />Для просмотра телевидения высокой четкости "Космос-ТВ" предложил абонентам использовать декодеры HC5101 IR производства компании Homecast. Но, по словам генерального директора "Космос-ТВ" Александра Теппера, заказанные декодеры передавали сигнал с помехами, в результате чего, компании пришлось от них отказаться. И теперь "Космос-ТВ" придется ждать поставки новых декодеров до конца года.<br /><br />Борис Овчинников, аналитик компании J'son & Partners, считает, при запуске нового сервиса, не имеющего отраслевых стандартов, подобные проблемы весьма распространены. "Конечно, лучше выявлять такого рода неполадки на ранних стадиях, - утверждает аналитик, - но больших потерь у  "Космос-ТВ" не будет, так как количество пользователь данной услуги невелико, да и вещание в формате HDTV не является основной деятельностью компании".
