Несмотря на то, что на недавней выставке IFA сообщалось, что Тайваньский производитель Acer находится под покровительством формата Blu-ray, недавние новости опровергли эту информацию. Действительно, на прошлой недели говорилось, что компания Acer присоединилась к Blu-ray Disc Association, а уже на днях мировой гигант по производству ноутбуков также присоединился к HD DVD Promotional Group. Причем Acer далеко не новичок в лагере формата HD DVD и уже выпустил оборудования с поддержкой приводов HD DVD в США.
