Представляя новый 3LCD проектор Sanyo, новостные Интернет-издания употребляют такие эпитеты, как «грубый, скучный, уродливый», хотя, очевидно, источник изображения, который чаще всего расположен за вашей спиной (а то и вовсе скрыт декоративными панелями), и не должен разить на повал дизайнерскими изысками, особенно если со своей основной задачей «уродец» справляется более чем достойно.

Технические характеристики новинки во многом схожи с таковыми у Mitsubishi LVP-HC6000, за отображение видео отвечает такое же трио 0.74-дюймовых LCD-матриц от Epson, обе новинки используют 10-битный процессор для обработки видеосигнала Reon-VX от Silicon Optix, уровень шума проектора от Sanyo так же не превышает 19 дБ. В остальном, новинка от Sanyo даже превосходит своего конкурента, в ней используется более мощная лампа в 165W, обеспечивающая яркость в 1200 люмен, а так же более совершенная оптическая система, обеспечивающая 2-кратное увеличение изображения. Контрастность изображения 15 000 : 1. За связь с плеером отвечают два разъема HDMI 1.3a. В Японии новинка появится 1 ноября по цене ¥378,000 (около $3,255, и в этом опережая проектор от Mitsubishi).
