Компания Pixelworks, крупный поставщик интегральных микросхем на мировой рынок, и тайваньский электронный гигант ASUSTeK сообщили о начале совместного сотрудничества, главной целью которого станет продвижение решений высококачественной обработки видео в персональные компьютерные системы.

Не секрет, что современные многофункциональные компьютеры зачастую используются для просмотра видео, в том числе и телевизионных передач, что стирает грань между телевизионной системой и домашним компьютером. Именно поэтому Pixelworks и ASUSTeK задались целью повысить качество обработки видео при помощи персонального компьютера до уровня телевизионной системы, или даже выше такового.

Представители ASUSTeK утверждают, что современный пользователь компьютера зачастую подключает к системе широкоформатные ЖК-панели и плазменные телевизоры. А подобные устройства предъявляют к качеству видеосигнала более высокие требования, нежели компьютерные мониторы. Таким образом, качественная обработка видео компьютером с последующим выводом на телевизионные системы – это востребованная на сегодняшний день функциональность, которая будет с воодушевлением встречена современными пользователями.
