Интерфейс DisplayPort медленно но уверенно пробивает себе дорогу в жизнь. Буквально на днях был официально анонсирован первый на рынке монитор с таким интерфейсом, - 30-дюймовый монстр производства Samsung с разрешением 2500х1600 пикселей.

В настоящее время довольно сложно найти видеоадаптер к которому можно было бы подключить такое устройство отображения, но в следующем году ситуация изменится.
Видеокарты поколения AMD R700 будут оснащаться интерфейсом DisplayPort.

На встрече с аналитиками AMD объявила о том, что в 2008 году ею будет выпущен первый профессиональный ускоритель с интерфейсом DisplayPort, - R700 FireGL. Вполне вероятно, что даты выхода на рынок обоих устройств совпадут, поскольку Samsung начать продажи собирается также лишь в следующем году.

Помимо профессиональных решений AMD также подумывает и о выпуске потребительских видеокарт на базе R700 с данным интерфейсом. Естественно, DisplayPort не вытеснит интерфейса HDMI, скорее всего карты будут иметь оба выхода.
