Компания Sony Electronics представила мульти-функциональный DVD-привод DVDirect (VRD-MC5), позволяющий записывать медиа-материалы на DVD без использования компьютера. Заметим, что устройство умеет записывать видео-файлы в формате 1080i HD на DVD прямиком с карточки Memory Stick или жесткого диска. Получившийся в итоге диск можно будет запустить на Blu-ray-плеере и игровой приставке PlayStation 3 (PS3).<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1185266435_54570.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='DVDirect: пишем DVD без компьютера' /></div><br />Кроме видео в высоком разрешении VRD-MC5 также можно использовать для записи видео в стандартном разрешении. Модель оснащается разъёмами Digital Video (i.LINK/FireWire/IEEE-1394), S-Video, композитным и USB-портами. С помощью устройства можно также записывать на DVD фотографии напрямую с карточек Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Compact Flash, Secure Digital (SD/SDHC), xD-picture.<br /><br />Устройство оснащается 2,5-дюймовым LCD экраном, удобным интерфейсом управления, и поддержкой Dolby Digital 5.1. В магазинах новинка появится в августе этого года. Ориентировочная стоимость устройства составит около $230.
