Все чаще мы видим, что производители отказываются от выпуска плееров с поддержкой только HD DVD, вот и Onkyo похоже решила пересмотреть свои планы по выпуску плеера на базе «синего лазера». До сих пор, особенно в преддверии выставки CES’2007, пресс-релизы  компании были полны оптимизма по поводу поддержки именно HD DVD, однако, в последнее время, новостные ленты компании полны противоречивых заявлений. <br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1180439767_52007onkyo.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Onkyo колеблется в выборе формата' title='Onkyo колеблется в выборе формата' /></div><br />Например, Кейт Хаас (Keith Haas), директор по продажам Onkyo, высказался, что сейчас компания «присматривается к обоим форматам», и добавил, что они пытаются принять решение «нужно ли остановиться на выпуске одноформатного плеера или на выпуске мультиформатной модели». Что ж, очень может быть, что на прилавках вскоре появится еще один гибридный плеер. Учитывая престиж марки Onkyo – новинка не останется без внимания ценителей высококачественной техники.
