На днях тайваньская корпрация Acer представила новые ноутбуки серии Aspire под кодовым названием Gemstone, созданные совместно с дизайнерами BMW. Надо отметить, что на этот раз производитель решил отказаться от позиционирования «автомобильных» ноутов в качестве эксклюзивных решений. Во всяком случае, как заявил глава компании Дж. Т. Ванг (J. T. Wang), «конечные пользователи не ощутят разницу в цене», имея в виду, что ноутбуки с дизайном от художников BMW будут стоить немного дороже обычных переносных ПК с подобной начинкой.<br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1178551341_124829.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Acer и BMW сделали новые ноутбуки.' /></div><br />Наиболее заметное дизайнерское решение, применённое в новых лэптопах, можно охарактеризовать тем, что углы и края устройства закруглены, а внешняя оболочка выглядит более ярко и изящно. Также дизайнеры компании попытались минимизировать толщину и вес ноутбуков. Чтобы разработать новый дизайнерский концепт Gemstone, сотрудники Acer сотрудничали с дизайнерским подразделением компании BMW. Некоторые работы по эргономике выполняла компания Foxconn Technology. С технической стороны новые Aspire также не подвели: ноутбуки, в основу которых легла платформа Intel Santa Rosa, будут поддерживать технологию Dolby Home Theater, обладать встроенным приводом HD DVD или Blu-ray и, разумеется, оснащаться HDMI-выходом. Диагональ дисплеев можно будет выбрать из 14-, 15- и 17-дюймовых вариантов. Появление ноутбуков на мировом рынке запланировано, согласно разным источникам, на середину мая или июнь.<br /><br />Кстати, в компании предсказывают увеличение поставок ноутбуков более чем на 50% в 2007 году, и на уровне 40% в 2008 году. В IV кварталае 2006 года Acer отставала от Dell всего лишь на 70 тысяч ноутбуков, поэтому ожидается, что уже во втором квартале 2007 года Acer обгонит Dell и займёт второе место среди крупнейших производителей ноутбуков в мире.
