И хотя данное решение приводит к ухудшению показателей яркости и увеличивает энергопотребление, интерес к широким экранам не ослабевает, прежде всего, со стороны геймеров, отмечают аналитики. В то же время отмечается оживление спроса со стороны других нишевых потребителей.<br /><br />В июне прошлого года Samsung представила 4,3-дюймовый OLED-дисплей с активной матрицей для мобильных телефонов. Согласно заявлению компании, процесс внедрения 3D-панелей в производство завершён, и первые отгрузки ожидаются в ближайшее время. По мнению корейских специалистов данный сегмент рынка набирает обороты и достигнет уровня 2 миллиарда USD к 2010 году по сравнению с 300 миллионов USD на сегодняшний день.<br /><br />Шагая в ногу со временем, тайваньская компания Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) и американская Neurok Optics, специализирующаяся на развитии 3D-технологий, анонсировали в феврале создание совместного предприятия под названием iZ3D. Согласно планам, новая компания фокусирует всё внимание на рынке 3D-дисплеев как для бытового потребления, так и для профессионального применения.<br /><br />Новое предприятие, базирующееся в Сан-Диего, имеет на сегодняшний день в своём активе две модели 3D-мониторов. Одна из них представляет собой 22-дюймовый широкоэкранный монитор с разрешением 1680x1050, временем отклика 5 мс, уровнем контраста 600:1 и яркостью 500 нит. Стоимость, согласно официальной информации, составляет $999. Вторая модель выглядит поскромнее: 17-дюймовый экран с разрешением 1280 x 1024 пикселя, временем отклика 8 мс и уровнем контраста 400:1.
