В данном случае, речь идет о совместной презентации «Будущее HDTV», проведенной Toshiba и Mitsubishi в Далласе, на совещании HES Meeting. Хотя, нужно признать, этим крупнейшим игрокам HD-рынка есть чем удивить и привлечь покупателей и обозревателей рынка.  Помимо многообещающего прогноза на «нестабильную ситуацию с ценами в секторе HDTV», Mitsubishi поделилась планами по увеличению количества моделей с поддержкой максимального разрешения 1080p и  раскрыла планы по переходу на лазерные и LED-технологи в новых моделях своих HD-телевизоров. Кроме того, японская компания «посетовала» на то, что телевизоры с большими диагоналями не будут залеживаться на складах, в связи с предстоящим падением цен – что, безусловно, радует. <br />В своем выступлении Hitachi сконцентрировалась на маркетинговых планах в отношении своих «многообещающих ТВ-панелей», которые можно будет отнести к «доступным предметам роскоши». Кроме того, представители Hitachi так же поделились планами относительно внедрения разрешения 1080p во все свои производственные линейки и создания 60-дюймового флагмана «который будет продаваться только через признанных специалистов индустрии».
