К концу года компания планирует подключить к услуге не менее 500 абонентов. Конкуренты IZZI, хотя и тестируют HDTV, отнюдь не уверены, что это предложение будет востребовано на рынке.<br /><br />Первым в странах Балтии HDTV в цифровых сетях кабельного телевидения запустил эстонский оператор фиксированной связи Elion (контрольный пакет принадлежит TeliaSonera). 1 февраля 2007 г. он начал трансляцию канала VOOM. Контент формируется в Скандинавии из 15 HD-каналов, принадлежащих американскому концерну Rainbow Holdings. За просмотр канала Elion взымает ежемесячную плату в размере $8.<br /><br />Вчера примеру эстонцев последовала и Латвия. Оператор IZZI также начал транслировать в цифровой сети, охватывающей Ригу, канал VOOM. Так же как и эстонцы, латвийский оператор передает сигнал в формате 1080i30 (1920x1080 пикселей), фактически обеспечивая полноформатное HDTV.<br /><br />"Я уверен, что HDTV станет дополнительным фактором, стимулирующим абонентов использовать услуги цифрового ТВ. Глядя на успешный зарубежный опыт, у нас есть все основания полагать, что VOOM будет востребован и в Латвии", - заявил директор по маркетингу IZZI Каспарс Спунде. Он подчеркивает, что количество каналов высокого разрешения постоянно возрастает. И говорит, что очевидно в этом году у рижан появится возможность смотреть в формате HDTV канал Discovery и National Geographic.<br /><br />Для просмотра VOOM абонент должен быть подключен к цифровой сети IZZI. Нужен LCD или плазменный телевизор HD, желательно с диагональю не менее 40 дюймов. Для получения идеальной "картинки", разрешение телевизора должно быть 1920x1080, а цифровой вход - HDMI. Если используется аналоговый вход RGB, качество изображения ухудшается. Абонент также должен приобрести, арендовать или взять в рассрочку декодер DVB-T, цена которого - $450. Абонентская плата за HDTV-пакет - $5,6 в месяц.<br /><br />IZZI не рассчитывает на ажиотажный спрос. К концу года оператор планирует подключить около 500 абонентов. Во многом это обусловленно достаточно высокой ценой плазменных и LCD-телевизоров. Аппараты HD Ready c HDMI-входом стоят в Латвии от $700 до $18,5 тыс. При этом нижняя граница цен на модели, способные показать не "урезанную" картинку, а обеспечить разрешение 1920x1080, начинается с $2,4 тыс.<br /><br />Конкуренты относятся к инициативе IZZI скептически. Пресс-секретарь телекоммуникационного оператора Baltkom TV Лаурис Клявиньш заявил ComNews: "Производители телевизоров намного опередили вещательные организации. И пока не будет достаточного количества каналов HDTV, рано говорить о внедрении услуги. В нашей сети цифрового телевидения можно запустить HDTV, и сейчас мы тестируем два канал и различные декодеры. Но надо понимать, что для формирования коммерческого предложения нужен хороший контент и адекватная цена. Чтобы продать абоненту дорогой декодер, недостаточно трансляции лишь одного канала высокой четкости".<br /><br />Директор отдела бизнес-контента Lattelecom Гинтс Кирштейнс придерживается похожего мнения. Крупнейший оператор фиксированной связи, 49% в котором принадлежит TeliaSonera, намерен этой весной начать предлагать абонентам услуги цифрового ТВ и включить их в пакет triple-play. Однако об HDTV пока говорить преждевременно. "Voom HD, который предлагает IZZI - это один из двух HD-каналов, доступных на территории Латвии. Мы поздравляем IZZI, которые выгодно использовали эту возможность, чтобы позиционировать себя, как инноваторов. Что же касается отношений с клиентами, то если у абонента есть качественное подключение к Интернету, телевизор, поддерживающий соответствующую технологию и мотивация платить три лата ($5,6) за один канал - то это хорошее предложение. Lattelecom с интересом понаблюдает за опытом IZZI", - заявил ComNews Гинтс Кирштейнс.
