Компания Traxdata примкнула к сторонникам дисков Blu-ray в войне носителей видео высокой четкости и выпустила перезаписываемый диск Blu-ray, который позволяет хранить 25 Гб информации и обеспечивает скорость чтения 40 Мб/с. Запись может производиться на скорости 2х. Диски имеют специальное покрытие, защищающее их от царапин.

Новые Blu-ray диски производства Traxdata и Imation Компания Imation анонсировала выпуск своих дисков Inkjet Printable BD-R Media, в которых реализована технология AquaGuard, позволяющая печатать на нерабочей стороне носителя изображения и надписи, не боящиеся влаги. Покрытие рабочей стороны новинок также доработано производителем с тем, чтобы уменьшить риск появления царапин.
Производитель заявляет о совместимости своих продуктов с представленными на рынке плейерами и рекордерами соответствующего формата.
Такие диски подходят для использования вместе с профессиональными дубликаторами, в качестве оптимального варианта среди совместимых устройств такого класса Imation называет Primera Bravo XR-Blu Disc Publisher и Bravo SE Blu.
