В чем Sony никогда нельзя было обвинить, так это в отсутствии вкуса и стиля у создаваемой ее дизайнерами продукции. В определенном смысле апофеозом попытки полного "одомашнивания ПК", как мне кажется, можно считать продемонстрированную компанией накануне систему VGX-TP1.

Будучи выполненной в виде плоского белого бочонка (диаметр - 27 см), эта система, основанная на платформе ViiV, включает в себя, в частности, процессор Core 2 Duo T5600 (1.83 ГГц), чипсет i945GM, 2 ГБ памяти, 300 ГБ жесткий диск, DVD±R(RW) рекордер, Gigabit Ethernet адаптер и HDMI выход (вкупе с множеством аналоговых видео разъемов). Не забыто также беспроводное сетевое решение, устройство для чтения карт памяти (скрывается за пластиковой сдвижной шторкой на передней панели), ТВ тюнер и набор из беспроводного пульта и клавиатуры.

Огорчает в характеристиках новинки лишь одно. Цена такой системы, по некоторым данным, сравнима со стоимостью хорошего ноутбука - порядка $1600. В продаже новинку можно ожидать в марте месяце.
