Наши коллеги сообщают, что системы защиты Advanced Access Content System (AACS) от от несанкционированного копирования с дисков сине-фиолетовых форматов Blu-Ray и HD DVD была взломана, тем самым предоставив пользователю создать неограниченное число копий, а не одну резервную, предусматривающею мировым законодательством.

Посетитель одного из зарубежных форумов написал небольшую программу, которая позволяет снять защиту от копирования с HD DVD-носителя. Программа BackupHDDVD расшифровывает информацию на носителе, предоставляя тем самым возможность обойти защиту AACS. Для расшифровки, естественно, программе необходимо предоставить специальный ключ, так как это не взлом защиты, а ее "нормальное использование". Правда, стоит учитывать, что криптографические ключи на дороге не валяются.


Если учесть, что AACS уже принята на вооружение как ассоциацией Blu-Ray, так и DVD Forum, то следует ожидать появления пиратских, нелицензионных копий дисков, причем на относительно легальных основаниях. Возможно, это заставит крупные киностудии задуматься о том, что необходимо бороться не со следствиями, а с причинами.
