Очередной слух за четыре дня до Нового года: в новом поколении мониторов Apple Cinema Display будут использоваться мультимедийный интерфейс высокой четкости HDMI и встроенная защита цифрового контента, записанного на оптических носителях Blu-ray и HD-DVD. <br /><br />Пункт номер раз озвучен инсайдерскими источниками сайта MacOSXRumors, пункт номер два остается на совести одного из блогов The Guardian. Можно только добавить, что существует еще и третий пункт – новые мониторы Apple могут использовать также поддерживаемый Intel интерфейс Unified Display Interface (UDI), который совместим как с привычным DVI, так и с новомодным HDMI и тоже поддерживает технологию защиты HDCP. <br /><br />Есть только одно "но" – невзирая на четырехкратное превосходство по пропускной способности над завоевывающим популярность HDMI Unified Display Interface пока что находится на ранней стадии развития – спецификация стандарта все еще не достигла уровня версии 1.0.
