Телестанция ABC 7 в Чикаго будет первой и единственной телевизионной станцией на телевещательном рынке США, которая будет передавать все местные новости и свои программы в формате High-Definition. Телевещание в данном формате начнется 6 января 2007 года. Это объявила на прошлой неделе Эмили Барр, президент и генеральный менеджер ABC 7.<br />Как говорит Барр, "мы гордимся, что снова идем первыми по пути внедрения имеющей преимущества технологии и являемся первой станцией в городе, приступающей к вещанию местных новостей и программ в формате HD".<br />ABC 7 предоставит зрителям и больше часов HD-программ, больше, чем кто-либо другой на телевещательном рынке. В дополнение к местному новостному HD-вещанию ABC 7 представит зрителю в формате High-Definition спортивные передачи, развлекательные шоу, программы на социальные темы и специальные, объединенные программы ее обширной сети. Все это сделает ABC 7 настоящей "премьерной HD-станцией Чикаго".<br />ABC 7 проложила свой путь и стала лидером во внедрении новых технологий хотя бы потому что владеет собственным вертолетом для HD-вещания, единственным на телевещательном рынке. ABC 7 является также и первой станцией, осуществляющей видео- и аудио- подкастинг (подкастинг - метод публикации аудио- и видеопрограмм через интернет, позволяющий пользователям подписываться на автоматическое получение новых файлов) - каждую минуту информация будет поступать в Интернет и станет доступна владельцам мобильных телефонов и других беспроводных устройств.<br />Кэл Хассан, вице-президент инженерного подразделения ABC 7, сказал: "ABC 7 - одна из наиболее передовых, самых оснащенных в цифровом плане, станция в стране, она является пионером на пути внедрения инфраструктуры, обеспечивающей все циклы HD-вещания, что включает в себя управляющие HD-студии, студийные и промо- HD-камеры, HD-графическую систему показа прогнозов погоды и соответствующие условия для проведения прямого эфирного HD-вещания".
