<div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/hdtvimg/218_amd.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='DisplayPort появится на рынке в конце 2007' /></div><br />Компания AMD объявила сегодня, что собирается начать выпуск продуктов, поддерживающих DisplayPort – новый стандарт передачи видео и аудио высокого качества – в конце 2007 года, вместе с вводом в строй двух других ожидаемых технологий: DirectX 10 и HyperTransport 3.0. AMD уже объявила DisplayPort частью своей новой платформы Fusion, анонсированной ранее в этом году и подразумевающей создание унифицированной архитектуры объединяющей центральный процессор и графическое ядро в одном чипе.<br /><br />Очевидно, что новый стандарт активно развивается, а несколько недель назад была принята версия 1.1 стандарта DisplayPort, предусматривающая поддержку технологии HDCP. Но отношение к нему всегда было неоднозначным: не все производители четко понимают его необходимость, если на рынке уже присутствует готовый и, на текущий момент, устраивающий большинство потребителей стандарт HDMI. Общие высказывания на тему "адаптации к передачи видео- и аудио-данных для цифровых мониторов" не способны побороть опасения новой "войны стандартов". Основное отличие от HDMI - более широкий канал для передачи данных (10,8 Гбит/с вместо 5 Гбит/с), что обеспечит высокие разрешения (а казалось бы, куда уж выше HDTV?). Максимальная длина кабеля DisplayPort в три раза больше, чем у HDMI - 15 метров против 5.<br /><br />Инициативная группа VESA DisplayPort, продвигающая новый стандарт, в которую кроме AMD входят такие крупные производители компьютерной техники и электроники как Dell, Genesis Microchip, HP, Intel, Lenovo, NVIDIA и Samsung Electronics, уже заявила о подготовке версии 2.0, которая увидит свет ближе к концу 2007 года.
