Об этом репортёрам сообщил сам президент Sony Риоджи Чубачи (Ryoji Chubachi). Руководитель компании также уверен, что к концу финансового года (март 2007) с конвеера сойдёт как минимум 6 млн. PS3, что особенно радует европейских геймеров, ожидающих старта платформы в «старом свете» к следующей весне.<br /><br />Ожидаемая многими приставка уже дебютировала в США и Японии, где была сметена с полок магазинов, несмотря на высокую стоимость ($600). Sony столкнулась с проблемами при производстве, из-за чего многим покупателям не хватило консолей. Чубачи (Chubachi) заверил, что сейчас Sony пытается сократить производственные затраты на PS3. Шаг абсолютно понятный – компания хочет перестать терять деньги на каждой отдельной консоли (кстати, помочь в этом должны и слабые позиции иены по отношению к доллару).
