Micronas MicSidewinder 2D-X – референс-дизайн сдвоенного (двухканального) тюнера DVB-S2 для шины PCI Express, предназначенного для мультимедийных ПК и ПК, используемых в качестве основы для построения домашних кинотеатров (HTPC). Каждый канал MicSidewinder 2D-X рассчитан на прием цифрового вещания высокой четкости (HDTV) по стандарту DVB-S2 и вещания обычной четкости (SDTV) по стандарту DVB-S. Наличие двух идентичных каналов позволило реализовать такие интересные возможности, как, скажем «картинка в картинке» или запись одной программы одновременно с просмотром другой.
Плата MicSidewinder 2D-X reference рассчитана на прием бесплатных и платных каналов. Во втором случае контроль доступа реализуется с помощью Soft-CAM или аппаратного модуля с интерфейсом USB. 
 
На плате Micronas установлен контроллер шины PCI Express nGene APB 7202A и чипсет DVB-S2 STMicroelectronics STB0899/STB6100. Изделие совместимо с ОС Windows XP Media Center и приложением CyberLink PowerCinema Home Theater.
Кстати, по данным источника, HDTV-вещание по стандарту DVB-S2 уже ведет европейский провайдер спутникового вещания Astra.
