Сюжет: В канун китайского Нового года более 130 миллионов рабочих-мигрантов покидают города и отправляются к себе домой - это единственное время в году, когда они могут увидеться со своими родными. Как и многие другие, Чанхуа и Суджин Чен покинули свою родную деревню, чтобы найти работу в городе, когда их дети были еще совсем маленькими. Теперь их выросшая с бабушкой дочь Цинь сообщает родителям, что бросит школу, чтобы также работать на фабрике. Надежды отца и матери, пожертвовавших многим, чтобы дети получили образование, рушатся прямо на глазах.
