Компания Mitsubishi представила в Японии свой новый видеопроектор HC6800. Данная модель оснащена ЖК-матрицей (3 LCD) с разрешением 1920×1080 и, соответственно, обеспечивает проектору полную поддержку формата FullHD 1080p. Примечателен также и элегантный дизайн новинки.

Согласно заявленным производителем спецификациям, Mitsubishi HC6800 обеспечивает световой поток в 1300 ANSI-люмен при динамическом отношении контраста 20 000:1. Рекомендованная диагональ экрана — от 50 до 300 дюймов (примерно 1,3-7,6 метров в метрической системе). Из особенностей новинки внимания заслуживает наличие видеопроцессора HQV Reon-VX, который уже неоднократно доказал свою эффективность, будучи установленным в другие модели проекторов этого производителя, а также тихая система охлаждения лампы — 20-26 децибел в зависимости от выбранного режима. Заявленный срок службы лампы 4000 часов.

Коммутационные возможности новинки также не вызывают нареканий. Проектор оснащён двумя портами HDMI, композитным, S-Video и компонентным видеовходами, разъёмом Mini D-Sub для подключения к компьютеру и сервисным портом RS-232.

Начало продаж Mitsubishi HC6800 на территории Японии намечено на 15 сентября. Цена проектора составит $2647.
