Основные бренды ЖК-телевизоров на азиатском рынке, которые обычно неохотно отдавали заказы на производство LCD TV, теперь уверены, что использование услуг контрактных производителей поможет им снизить риски в период нестабильной экономики.<br /><br />В 2007 году 28% всех телевизоров были произведены на заказ. iSuppli предполагает, что в 2012 году 41.1% LCD телевизоров будет выпускаться контрактными производителями.<br /><br />За исключением Philips, вся пятерка ведущих мировых производителей (Samsung Electronics, Sony, Sharp и LG Electronics) соответствуют запросам рынка, полагаясь, в основном, на собственные производственные силы и редко прибегают к услугам контрактных производителей.<br /><br />Например, в 2007 году 91.5% телевизоров Sony было произведено на собственных заводах компании. Остальные телевизоры были произведены по заказу ODM компаниями Amtran Technology, Qisda, TPV Technology и Wistron. Компаниям Sharp, Samsung и LGE удалось добиться примерно того же соотношения в 2007 году.<br /><br />Однако, по мнению iSuppli, те OEM, которые традиционно старались жестко контролировать дизайн выпускаемой продукции, сетевые поставки и производственные процессы постепенно стремятся к тому, чтобы уравновесить финансовую и производственную ответственность с EMS провайдерами и ODM.<br /><br />Ряд производителей планирует значительно увеличить объемы производства, и с этой целью намерен привлечь большее число ODM производителей.<br /><br />OEM-производители опасаются, что их заводы будут работать в режиме избыточной мощности , если спрос на продукцию окажется ниже ожидаемого. Для того чтобы снизить негативные последствия производители вынуждены пересматривать свои производственные стратегии.<br /><br />Другими словами, использование услуг EMS провайдеров и ODM может оказаться более выгодным и безопасным ввиду нестабильной экономики. <br />
