VESA представила новую версию стандарта DisplayPort

Организация VESA анонсировала новую версию стандарта для передачи видео и сопутствующих сигналов по компьютерным кабелям – DisplayPort 1.2. Новый стандарт удваивает пропускную способность, предлагая существенно более высокое качество изображение по сравнению с распространенным стандартом DVI-D. Минимальные возможности версии 1.2 включают поддержку видеосигнала с разрешением 3840 x 2160 пикселей и частотой обновления картинки 60 кадров в секунду при 30-битном цвете. Текущая версия 1.1 ограничена меньшим разрешением – 2560 x 1600 точек.

Также DisplayPort 1.2 сможет поддерживать передачу сигнала с Full HD-разрешением с частотой обновления 120 Гц. Расширенная полоса пропускания улучшит процесс формирования нескольких изображений одновременно – это может пригодиться, например, в 3D-мониторах.

Кроме того, разработанный компанией Apple и используемый в своих последних ноутбуках и мониторе разъем Mini DisplayPort отныне включен VESA в стандарт. Публикация намечена на середину 2009 г. Ожидается, что сразу после этого на рынке появятся первые устройства с этим интерфейсом.
