При этом он считает, что именно 2008 г. станет периодом расцвета этого формата. «В настоящий момент мы не справляемся со спросом», - добавляет он. <br /><br />Согласно исследованию корпорации Sony, в 2011 г. продажи дисков формата Blu-ray сравняются и обойдут объемы продаж дисков предыдущего поколения DVD. Проникновение Blu-ray происходит быстрее, чем DVD, отмечают аналитики Futuresource. По их подсчетам, в 2008 г. – третий год существования формата – будет насчитываться 10 млн. Blu-ray-плееров в использовании, включая игровые приставки Sony PlayStation 3. В третий год существования DVD насчитывалось всего лишь 1,5 млн. плееров. <br /><br />«В 2012 году мы будем жить в подлинном мире HD, - продолжает Гриффит. – Все вокруг вас, начиная с видеокамеры и заканчивая телевизором, будет иметь поддержку высокого разрешения». <br />
