Четырех слойные  диски формата BDXL могут вмещать до 128 гигабайт, а трехслойные до 100 гигабайт данных. Pioneer BDR-206MBK может записывать и воспроизводить  практически любые оптические диски. Скорость записи CD дисков x24, DVD дисков – х8, BD-R – x6, а BD-RE только x2.<br /><br />Для повышения качества записи и воспроизведения в Pioneer BDR-206MBK используется фирменная технология Limit Equalizer, повышающая уровень сигнала при чтении с диска и улучшающая процесс записи. Новый привод поставляется как с современным интерфейсом SATA, так и с более традиционным IDE. <br /><br />В комплекте с приводом Pioneer BDR-206MBK поставляется программное обеспечение  CyberLink для Windows.
