Для расширения дискового пространства сверх 8 терабайт имеются интерфейсы ESATA и USB, позволяющие подключать внешние жесткие диски. Вся сохраняемая информация защищается с помощью 256-битного алгоритма AES. Для повышения надежности и гибкости конфигурации поддерживаются  технологии JBOD, RAID0, RAID1, RAID5 или RAID10. Plextor PX-NAS4 предлагает также для этих целей утилиту Snapshot Backup Utility.<br /><br />На зарубежном рынке сетевые хранилища Plextor PX-NAS4 появятся в конце этого месяца по цене около $400.<br />
