На основании этих данных могут устанавливаться такие параметры, как громкость звука в отдельных каналах, 3D эффект и др.<br /><br />Процессор может быть использован не только для измерения расстояния между экраном и зрителем, но и для распознавания лица зрителя. Оборудованный датчиком освещенности он может отрегулировать яркость светодиодной подсветки LCD панели.<br /><br />STM планирует встраивать новый процессор изображений в модульные камеры с объективом размерами 6 х 6 х 3,4 мм. Камеры будут различаться по производительности. Например, для телевизоров планируется использовать камеры с разрешением 600 х 200, потому что они обычно используются в гостиной и расстояние между экраном и зрителем, как правило, большое.<br /><br />STMicroelectronics намерена начать производство таких камер в следующем году.
