Но все они не лишены определенных недостатков.<br /><br />Компания Asus предлагает под названием WiCast свой вариант беспроводной связи ноутбука и телевизора. Новое потоковое медиа решение Asus использует USB и HDMI порты. USB для питания адаптера, HDMI для получения медиа потока. WiCast теоретически способен передавать материал формата 1080p со скоростью 3 Гбит/с.<br /><br />К недостаткам решения стоит отнести уйму проводов для подключения и отмеченные наблюдателями артефакты  в Iron Man 2, даже с расстояния около 2 метров. Хорошей новостью можно считать то, что  WiCast может работать с любыми компьютерами и телевизорами. Но в телевизоре также должны быть два USB и один HDMI разъемы.
