Американское военное ведомство замыслило использовать OLED дисплеи, как элемент обмундирования солдат.<br /><br />В армии США опробуются опытные образцы обмундирования с встроенной системой связи, дополненной гибким OLED дисплеем. В разработке компонентов этой закрепляемой на запястье манжетной конструкции принимали участие компании LG Display и L-3 Display Systems.<br /><br />Новая система получила положительные отзывы военных и после ее доработки и выделения правительством средств на приобретение начнет поступать в армейские подразделения.<br />
