За счет использования технологии Slim-block LED, Hitachi удалось повысить контрастность, получить более чистые цвета и более глубокий черный цвет. Довиться улучшенных характеристик изображения удалось при одновременном снижении энергопотребления примерно на 21%-27%.<br /><br />Новые телевизоры Hitachi L42-ZP05 и L37-ZP05  имеют встроенный жесткий диск на 500 гигабайт, этой емкости хватит для записи телепередач длительностью примерно 400 часов.<br />
