Если учитывать крупных производителей HDTV, то можно считать, что Sony выбралась на 3D рынок во втором эшелоне. Но с начала лета начала активно наверстывать упущенное.

На этой неделе было заявлено, что к концу 2011 года почти все телевизоры Sony размером 40 дюймов и больше будут производиться в 3D варианте. Лишь немногие бюджетные модели с большим экраном останутся традиционными телевизорами. Компания намеревается захватить 50% японского рынка, продав в 2011 году 1 миллион 3D телевизоров.

Другим направлением развития 3D планов будет производство 3D ноутбуков. Новый ноутбук Vaio с 3D возможностями появится весной. Sony не представила о нем подробных данных, но судя по представленному прототипу он будет иметь 16-ти дюймовый дисплей и 3D Blu-Ray привод. Впрочем, тут Sony придется конкурировать с уже освоившими этот рынок NEC, Fujitsu и Toshiba.
