Программная начинка будет основана на операционной системе Google Chrome и одноименном веб-браузере. <br /><br />На борту планшетника имеется  2 гигабайта оперативной памяти и 32 гигабайта флэш-памяти в виде твердотельного жесткого диска. Планшетник Google Chrome поддерживает беспроводные интерфейсы Wi-Fi и Bluetooth, имеет встроенные модули для выхода в сети сотовых операторов и поддержки GPS навигации. <br /><br />Есть встроенная веб-камера и возможность расширения памяти. В Америке планшетник Google поддерживается и субсидируется крупнейшим сотовым оператором Verizon и будет продаваться гораздо дешевле iPad. Изготовителем портативного медиакомпьютера Google станет компания HTC.<br />
