Компания Rambus, известная в компьютерном мире некогда популярными модулями памяти RDRAM, пытается найти свою нишу на телевизионном рынке. В конце прошлого месяца Rambus представила новый высокоскоростной контроллер памяти для использования в телевизорах и Blu-ray плеерах.<br /><br />Современные телевизоры с повышенной частотой обновления экрана, 3D режимом и другими цифровыми технологиями обработки сигналов требуют ускоренной работы с памятью. Новый контроллер Rambus отличается низкой стоимостью и высокой эффективностью, так он способен выполнять 1866 млн. передач данных в секунду.<br /><br />Контроллеры памяти компании Rambus в настоящее время уже используются в телевизорах Toshiba.
