В новых моделях реализована усовершенствованная технология боковой LED подсветки, что позволило заключить телевизоры в ультратонкий корпус толщиной всего 29,3 мм. Оригинальность дизайна подчеркивают стильные цветовые элементы в фирменном пурпурном цвете. <br /><br />Динамическая подсветка с местным затемнением позволяет добиться контрастности 5 000 000:1, телевизоры оснащены технологией TruMotion 100 Гц, время отклика матрицы составляет 2,4 мс. Встроенный датчик освещенности регулирует интенсивность подсветки в зависимости от уровня освещенности помещения. Для автоматической настройки изображения предназначена технология Picture Wizard II.<br />Стереосистема телевизоров использует два 10-ти ваттных динамика. Акустические возможности расширяют фирменные технологии Infinite Sound и Сlear Voice III.<br /><br />Новые телевизоры могут работать в составе медиа сети из DLNA совместимых устройств, фирменная технология LG Wireless Ready поддерживает беспроводное соединение с другими аудио/видео устройствами. Поддержка технологии Bluetooth позволяет воспроизводить музыкальные и фото файлы с мобильных телефонов и ноутбуков. Через порт USB 2.0 можно воспроизводить с внешних жестких дисков и карт памяти файлы форматов JPEG, MP3, MPEG4 и DivX HD. Функция NetCast позволяет иметь доступ к популярным потоковым  видео сервисам Youtube, Picasa, Accuweather и и др.<br /><br />Телевизоры LE5500 отличаются пониженным энергопотреблением и удовлетворяю стандарту Smart Energy Saving Plus. В российских магазинах можно будет купить 32, 37, 42, 47 и 55 дюймовые модели. Рекомендованная розничная цена для LG 32LE5500 составляет 44490 рублей.<br />
