Для создания на экране объемной картинки необходимо, чтобы телевизор работал с кадровой частотой 120 Гц и выше. Такая частота проблемна для LCD экранов и в тоже время вполне приемлема для OLED технологии. К тому на экранах OLED дисплеев можно добиться меньших перекрестных искажений и некоторых других, присущих LCD дисплеям. Sony планирует разработать большой экран с 3D возможностями, но не заявляет конечных сроков.<br />
