Добиться снижения размеров, а также возможности конвейерной автоматизированной настройки и удешевления процессов удалось за счет исключения из конструкции катушек индуктивности. Вместе с тем, c отказом от использования в тюнерах катушек телезритель теряет нечто визуально мало осязаемое и подобное ламповому эффекту в аудиотехнике.<br /><br />Новые тюнеры отличаются незначительным энергопотреблением – всего 0,5 ватта, начало продаж сторонним производителям июль и сентябрь, в зависимости от модели. <br />
