Японские компании Nissho и NGC совместно с японским отделением Samsung разработали новую технологию для создания широкоформатных уличных и выставочных экранов практически любого размера и конфигурации из стандартных LCD дисплеев.

Nissho и NGC представили систему под названием «Matrix», Samsung разработает LCD дисплеи с функциями компьютера и программное обеспечение для формирования отображаемой на экране каждого дисплея картинки - «MagicInfo VideoWall». Размер дисплеев будет составлять от 32 до 82 дюймов и они будут соединяться друг с другом в сетевую структуру через обычный сетевой кабель. Таким образом может быть собран экран состоящий из 250 отдельных дисплеев.

Система, состоящая из девяти 32″ дисплеев, стоит уже более $22000.
