Сегодня очень многие компании стремятся освоить 3D технологии. Не остался в стороне и всем известный производитель процессоров американская компания Intel.

Недавно было заявлено о завершении модернизации графического процессора с поддержкой воспроизведения HD видео - Intel GMA, который теперь будет обеспечивать и поддержку 3D контента. Новые чипы появятся уже летом, и могут использоваться в компьютерах и встраиваться в Blu-ray плееры и телевизоры.

И, все же, это заявление вряд ли можно считать серьезной заявкой на участие в гонке 3D технологий. Интегрированная в новый видеочип система Intel поддерживает воспроизведение 3D фильмов на основе поляризационного метода кодирования объемной картинки, а не активно продвигаемой сегодня производителями телевизоров 3D технологии с активными очками.
