<div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2010-05/1273072275_energy-star.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Новый стандарт энергопотребления начал действовать' title='Новый стандарт энергопотребления начал действовать' /></div><br /><br />С 1 мая 2010 года все ввозимые в США телевизоры должны удовлетворять требованиям стандарта  Energy Star 4.0.<br /><br />Новый стандарт определяет значительно более жесткие требования по энергопотреблению, в сравнении с действующей сегодня версией 3.0.  Телевизоры, плееры и ресиверы должны стать примерно на 40%  энергоэффективнее выполненных по требованиям Energy Star 3.0. Так 50 дюймовый телевизор должен потреблять не более 153 ватт, вместо существовавшего ранее ограничения в 318 ватт.<br /><br />Впрочем, об этих требованиях было давно известно и последние модели известных компаний уже удовлетворяют им. Более того отдельные производители смотрят в будущее и примеряются к требованиям Energy Star 5.0, которому, к примеру, соотвествует последняя модель HDTV S521 компании NEC .<br /><br />Ограничения Energy Star 5.0 станут актуальны с 1 мая 2012 года. С того времени вновь производимые 50 дюймовые модели должны будут потреблять не более 108 ватт.<br /><br />Следование требованиям Energy Star позволяет не только и не столько сэкономить деньги. Глобальное снижение энергопотребления позволит сохранить здоровую среду обитания для сегодняшнего и будущих поколений живущих на этой планете.
