В разработке видео оборудования для исследования Марса помогают специалисты, участвовавшие в создании  Аватара.<br /><br />Официально известно, что  марсианская научная лаборатория начнет работу в следующем году и передаст на землю объемную модель марсианских пейзажей в июле. Одна из миссий экспедиции поиск примитивных форм жизнедеятельности на этой планете. И если они будут обнаружены, то ученые на Земле получат возможность их наблюдения и изучения в стереоскопических фото и видеозаписях.
