Об этом было заявлено представителями FIFA и  компании 8 апреля в Лондоне. Телевещание в объемном формате будет вестись с 5 из 10 задействованных для игр стадионов.<br /><br />На каждом матче будет использоваться семь стационарных 3D видеокамер  Sony HDC-1500 и две на передвижных платформах. Пока, 3D показ запланирован на США, Испанию и Корею. FIFA надеется подписать аналогичные соглашения и с другими телевещательными компаниями, в том числе японскими.<br /><br />Наблюдать за событиями футбольного чемпионата можно будет также в разбросанных по всему миру фирменных магазинах Sony. Которых насчитывается в Северной Америке 1500, в Европе 1300, в Японии 500, по 200 в Азии и Латинской Америке, 30 в Южной Африке.<br /><br />Sony Pictures на основе телесъемок изготовит 3D видеофильм на Bly-ray диске. <br />
