Как известно этот формат имеет промышленное обозначение 4K2K и позволяет получить картинку с разрешением 3840 на 2160 пикселей, эквивалентную четырем full HD экранам.<br /><br />Благодаря программному обеспечению и алгоритмам масштабирования от Mitsubishi Electric теперь можно будет трансформировать имеющиеся видеофильмы и программы HD формата для полноценной демонстрации на еще более масштабных экранах -  4K2K.<br />Новая технология поддерживает интерфейс HDMI 1.4, но не позволяет конвертировать в 4K2K содержимое Blu-ray дисков.<br />
